You must follow both the Global Rules and the following rules when participating in our Avatar RP here at AU.
RP Rules:
1. Each RP post MUST be in your best English, best grammar, and be at least 4-5 sentences in length. Basically, make each post meaningful.
2. Each post must tie in with the respective thread's story and setting. This is a free-form RP, meaning that no thread or plot of a thread is obligated to tie into or be "canon" with any other thread or plot of thread - continuity is not required.
3. All RP characters must be OC - you CANNOT RP as or interact with any of the "real" characters - for example, you may choose to be a Fire nation soldier named Shan Gaa, but you cannot be Zuko. 
4. You may RP about crucial Avatar "moments" - like attacking the Fire Nation (or, perhaps if you are Fire Nation, attacking, say, the Northern Water Tribe), but be careful not to include "real" characters in your story - doing so could create problems and perhaps be viewed as unfair.
5. If you wish to, you may RP with two characters - though, each one still needs his/her own application. We may deny a member a Secondary Character if we feel that allowing one would not be pro-active.
(Also, please be sure to include both Character's stats (if you have 2) in the appropriate spots in your profile.)
6. ALL RP must be appropriate - basically, keep it "T" rated or below, which means no sex, no drugs, and no overly-descriptive violence.
7. Do not God-mod (control others' actions). Basically, don't make your post so that it forces the other RPers to do anything or react in any certain way. Let them decide what they do.
